Killer Boxes!

Yesterday I wemt to wal-mart and purchased one of those PC carts. You know, the ones you can put a computer on and wheel the computer around.
While I was eating before I planned to put the cart together, I heard a thud in the entryway and my cat screaming bloody murder. The box which had been propped up against the wall had somehow fallen on her. This forty fifty pound box. You can only imagine how much I was freaking out over the situation. I pulled the box off of her as quick as I could and she started thrahing er head back and forth, blood flying everywhere out of her nose and mouth. I had a friend over and screamed "Oh my gosh she bleeding... SHE'S BLEEDING. I freaked out trying to get a handle on the situation while doodle was howling in pain. I put her travle box and raced off to the local Emergency vet.

Time seemed to slow as I made my way to the vet calling her name to make sure she was awake. Screaming at her t cry for me while Jen was trying to calm me down enough to get us there safley. At the vets I handed her off to the receptionist who imedietly took her back to be worked on. With doodle now in professional hands I had the opertunity to completely fall apart and just bawl that she would be ok. I had to have jen fill out all the paperwork cause I was shaking so violently. I haven't slept all night at this point.

Doodle is doing really well now. Her eye swelling has gone down and nothing seems to be broken. They need to take an x-ray to see if there are any fractures so i'll find out later if anything serious is going on. They didn't want to take one earlier because of the anastesia (if that how yo spell it). She really seems to ust want me, for me to hold and pet her and take her home, but I know tht she needs to stay there for observation for a while.

So that was my hectic night and the moral of the story is that we must all wage WAR on the boxes of the planet so they can no longer harm inocent little kittens.

Weekly Wonder 2

Ok I lied. The lunar eclipse photos aren't in this post but another photo is. This is my second weekly wonder and it's been a while.




This is a really cool picture of a real live goose feather that has been painted with specail paints and has a garnet and CZ on the saft. The artist says that the paint shimmers as you walk by but that he wasn't able to capture that on camera. Done by -Nambroth- on deviantART.com

Lunar Eclipse

Hello everyone, I haven't written anything in a while and i'de like to apoligize. Things have been crazy in my life latley which to a certain degree is a good thing. Because of all the crazyness I was able to watch the lunar elipse we had here on the morning of the 27th. It was beautiful, watching the moon slowly cresent then dissapear completely leaving behind an orb of red and orange light. I was even fortunate enought to take a bunch of photos of the eclipse which I willpost on my next blog (hopefully) as soon as I get the chance to take the images off my camera and maybe edit them in photoshop to try and make the images clearer. So until the next post.

Overloaded

Ok, so obviously I've been away since i havn't posted. I recently got a new apartment so I've been moving for the past few weeks. I love it though, knowing that i'm on my own for the first time. It was nerve wracking at first but now that i've settled in I feel like it's gonna be great. It's a simple one bed one bath apartment kind of tucked away between two schools which makes it very quiet which is nice.
I also got a kitten to keep me company. She is an 11 week old calico kitten that I named Turtle. She is so cute and playful, she just still has some adjustments to do.

Magic Mania

I've recently gotten back into Magic the Gathering the Trading Card Game. I was interseted in it back when I was eight and due to not being able to find anyone to play with I fell out of it for this long. Antways, I found a place in town that does tournaments for Magic and unburied my cards just to find out that two of my friends for many years were both interested in Magic, never said anything, and also couldn't find anyone to play with so they never bought any cards. It's awsome because now not only have I rekindled my like of MAgic, but I have people to play with outside of tournaments. I know for those of you reading, this means nothing but it is something interesting in my life to me and it is something to put in a blog.

Midnight Rant.. Sorta

Do you know what really just irritated the crud out of me? When people call in to a radio shows like cr. someone or loveline and starts their call off with "Uh hi, I have a question for so and so." ... OF COARSE YOU HAVE A QUESTION FOR SO AND SO. THATS WHY YOU'RE CALLING IN IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! YOU DON'T NEED TO STATE THE OBVIOUS JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY. THINK OF SOMETHING WHILE YOUR WAITING TO TALK! ... Now, I might just be sayibng this because i'm tired and a little cranky but it felt good to get it off my chest. Well, i'm calm now so i'll go... bye bye

Weekly Wonder 1st

So being an artist myself I can definetly appriciate a good peice of work when I see it. All the time that goes into the picture and what kind of story it tells. I've decided to take my favorite picture or pictures of the week and display them here with expliations as to why I like them and who did them. These pictures will be from the web site Deviant Art where I also have an account that I will provide a link to when I get it more together. Enough blathering, Here is the first entry of the Weekly Wonder Series.

I like this picture because of the shading. It makes it look so life-like. I spoke with the artist and was told that she used a tablet to do the shading and I can say that she knows her way around art. The picture is titled ME so it's safe to assume that it's a self portrait.

My first Post (Duh!)

Well this is obviously my first post so there's not much to say. I'll try to update as much as possible but my life is kind of boring so if you need something to put you to sleep it could work.
